Welcome to Mary Bergeron Elementary School's Grade 3B webpage! Thank-you for your interest in exploring information to promote our partnership in engaging with your child's exciting year of learning. Students in June are starting to integrate their learning in major morning and afternoon projects. By researching a chosen animal, students are combining science and language arts to prepare a written or typed and illustrated presentation. They are also blending Social Studies and Art to create a diorama relating to Tunisia, India, Peru or Ukraine.
Weekly Spelling tests continue with the words copied into their agendas at the start of the week. Please help your child study for these tests.
Basic Math mixed operations require number sense. We are learning addition and subtraction strategies that build on understanding of number values.
Your child enjoys regular classes in Physical Education from Mr. Hyatt, in Music from Mrs. Prince and, since the winter break, in Library with Mrs. Knoops!
There are many special events happening in June! Please continue to check your child’s agenda and pouch daily for messages, especially about upcoming field trips.
Thank you for your support!
Mr. Mike Belecky
